MarginEdge can show you practically every aspect of your restaurant’s costs in one place including daily P&Ls, price changes in your most-used products, and even food usage and waste. We update your reports as invoices come in so there are no surprises when the period ends. No one likes inventories, but your on-hand counts provide meaningful data when it comes to measuring food usage. MarginEdge compares what you’ve purchased and what you’ve sold to what you’ve got left on hand, and we do the math for you. Free yourself from spreadsheet land. No one opens a restaurant because they want to do tons and tons of paperwork. As operators and owners, we knew there had to be a better way. So we made it our mission to stop restaurants from having to manually enter invoice data ever again with automated invoice processing. See theoretical costs based on real-time ingredient prices and PMIX data to pinpoint profitable and high-volume items. Compare menu items within a specific category, like appetizers, entrees, or desserts, to see which plates are contributing the most to profitability and which aren’t. Everything from bill payments, to ordering, to syncing with your accounting and POS systems — we’ve got you covered. Even orders from commissary kitchens and internal transfers between multi-unit locations are included! Manage product costs from when they come in the door to when they go out to the dining room, all in one place! MarginEdge is a holistic solution that takes care of all your back-office tasks. As a former client, I had a fantastic experience using this software. The tech itself is overpowered with a ton of features that are all included instead of sold by the feature, so if you’re not using something there’s no pressure - but it’s there if you need it later. In particular inventory and bill pay were game changers for the groups I used MarginEdge in. Special shout out to the onboarding and account management teams as well who added a personal touch to our customer support experience. Highly recommend!

While I believe this may be a solid product, our experience has been disappointing. Communication was poor from the start, and the implementation process was flawed—it felt as though the team expected us to be experts on day one without any prior onboarding. The final straw came today when we were asked to pay an additional $100 for a necessary training class, despite having already invested thousands and still struggling to get the inventory module functional. If you choose this software, I highly recommend involving your most technical staff from day one to ensure a successful rollout. The Bill pay function is a nightmare, months later and it still takes weeks to get money to vendors. Do not use their checks, wait until they have all your vendors set up for ACH before leaving your current Bill pay service.

Game changer. No more Excel sheets and no more tedious admin work on my day off. The team loves the inventory and recipe tools in the mobile app, and the increased visibility into profitability is more than worth the investment.

Worst software I have ever came across in my 35 yrs doing inventory and ordering. I have HORROR stories for you. Every employee we have that has had to use it... HATES IT. This software does not update correctly, constantly looses your inventory you enter and does not carry forward to next inventory date correctly.

Software "made for restaurant people by restaurant people" but their sales guy Taylor called our busy restaurant four times back-to-back during Friday lunch. Upon being told we aren't interested in what he's selling, this man got angry and called back repeatedly to try to argue. His unprofessional behavior wasted his own time and tied up our phone line, potentially preventing us from receiving takeout orders. Cold calls from sales folk are never welcome, but this caller was an even more unpleasant nuisance than most. Pro tip: actual 'restaurant people' should know not to make sales calls to restaurants during peak meal times.
